Willka T’ika Children’s Fund
founded and managed by Carol Cumes
When a small, sticky hand was placed in Carol Cumes’ palm, it captured her heart. Carol’s commitment to support Andean Quechua children in isolated, mountain communities began with school supplies and money she and her guests at Willka T’ika’s Garden Guest House donated. It expanded to include a nonprofit Children’s Fund, school buildings, libraries and computer rooms in four extremely poor communities. The Children’s Fund now provides emergency medical attention, clothing, hot meals and school supplies to a thousand Quechua children each year.
Carol has written an award winning and extremely beautiful book called ‘Chakra Gardens’. The net proceeds from this book are donated to the Willka T’ika Children’s fund,
